Marketing ideas

We advise public life-science research institutions in all aspects of intellectual property asset management. With our support, commercially attractive inventions, materials and know-how are promptly identified and given appropriate patent protection. We find suitable industrial partners, negotiate licensing and cooperation agreements, and accompany start-ups on the road to independence. Ideas thereby lead to new jobs and products, such as a novel anti-cancer drug or a procedure for identifying harmful bacteria in drinking water. The proceeds from commercialisation flow back to the research institutions.

Leading in the life sciences

Ascenion is the exclusive partner of 22 life-science institutes in the Helmholtz and Leibniz Associations and of one Medical School, and coordinates technology transfer for the German National Genome Research Network. We currently market more than 700 technologies, including a varied range of research materials, e.g. antibodies, animal models and vectors.
