Our Services for Researchers
Securing and marketing inventions
Have you invented something? Or do you own a patent and want to develop your idea into a marketable product? We evaluate whether patenting the results of your research is possible and commercially wise, and help you to develop a suitable patenting and marketing strategy, as well as negotiate the necessary agreements.
The proceeds from the commercial exploitation of your invention flow back to the research institution where you are employed, assuming that is, that your employer has not released the invention. In the case of our partner institutes, the so-called ‘rule of thirds’ usually applies: after a 10% deduction to cover patenting costs, the remaining proceeds are divided into thirds. The inventor then receives 30% of gross proceeds from commercial exploitation.
