The German Association for Certification has confirmed that Ascenion complies with the quality management system requirements of European norm DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. The certification covers Ascenion’s entire spectrum of services: evaluation and commercialization of life-science inventions, support of start-ups, and investment management. “This is a clear signal to our partner institutes,” says Dr Susanne Letzelter, coordinator of quality management implementation and maintenance at Ascenion. “They can rely on us to deliver services of a consistently high quality.”
Internally, the certification process has helped to define existing processes more clearly and refine criteria for quality measurement, for example quality assurance of third-party services, and error and complaints management. “This is valuable not only for us, but also for our clients, as it allows us to reduce errors systematically and improve continually. Certification is an important contribution to further increasing the transparency and quality of our services,” comments Dr Christian Stein, CEO of Ascenion.
