Ascenion receives ‘GO-Bio initial’ funding

As part of its ‘GO-Bio initial’ programme, the BMBF has awarded Ascenion funding for its 'Life Science Digital Hub' concept to improve support for GO-Bio initial applicants.

Ascenion is delighted to receive the funding, which will facilitate the creation of new opportunities to efficiently support GO-Bio initial applications and projects. The grant will initially run for a period of four years.

The focus of Ascenion’s funded concept 'Life Science Digital Hub' is to advance the level of development of early technologies. Ascenion will support scouting and the application process for exploratory projects, while also accompanying funded projects, primarily through the extensive integration of digital forms of communication. The project thus enables targeted and efficient support of early projects, from initial contact and integration into the programme, through to interaction with industry, and is thus an important component of the GO-Bio initial funding initiative.

Ascenion was able to recruit Hubert Ludwiczak, a project manager with extensive technology transfer experience, who began implementing the concept on 1 December 2020.
