Welcome to the Team!

In December 2020 the Ascenion team gained two new colleagues: Dr Sören Rindfleisch in Hanover and Hubert Ludwiczak in München.

Sören Rindfleisch has joined Ascenion as Technology Scout. Together with his colleagues in Hannover, his focus is on supporting scientists at the Hannover Medical School. He liaises with research groups to identify projects with a high application potential, and advises interested scientists on patenting and technology transfer matters.

Sören studied biochemistry at the University of Göttingen and the Tor Vergata University, Rome.  He completed a PhD in molecular enzymology in Prof. Tittmann’s group at the University of Göttingen.

Hubert Ludwiczak is Project Manager for ‘GO-Bio initial’ and responsible for the implementation of the funded concept ‘Life Science Digital Hub’: a contract awarded to Ascenion by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Together with his colleagues, he will be supporting scientists at Ascenion’s partner institutes who intend to apply for GO-Bio initial funding, or who have already received it. His current focus is on the acquisition and evaluation of potential funded research projects for the first project stage, and on establishing digital services for the interactive and professional support of early project development.

Hubert brings extensive experience to the team:  working in life-science technology transfer over the past 10 years, he has gained valuable insights into the broad spectrum of technology transfer from various positions held at research institutes in Germany and abroad. His most recent role was as Technology Manager Life Science at TUM ForTe – the Office of Research and Innovation at the Technical University of Munich.

Hubert studied biotechnology at the Poznań University of Life Sciences and the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, and subsequently worked in tumour research for several years. He also holds a master’s degree in innovation management und public relations.
