The Association of Science and Technology Professionals (ASTP) and ProTon-Europe have decided to merge into one pan-European association for knowledge and technology transfer. Together, they aim to provide ‘the best possible combination of services to the European knowledge and technology transfer community’. Key issues will be professional training and the certification of professionals and offices. The ultimate goal is to enhance the impact of public research on society and the economy. The new organisation named ASTP-Proton will be a not-profit association with headquarters in Leiden, Netherlands, and a satellite office in Brussels.
