For the third year running, the annual meeting of the GO-Bio initial (GBI) projects from Ascenion’s Life Science Digital Hub took place as a networking event. Funded by the BMFTR, all managers of projects in the feasibility and exploratory phases collaborating with Ascenion were granted free entry to BioVaria’s two-day lecture programme and the evening get-together in the beer garden.
The numerous project managers from the projects funded by GBI were able to immerse themselves in the world of technology transfer in the relaxed atmosphere of the Sofitel Munich Bayerpost, network with industry representatives and investors at the exclusive Meet & Greet breakfast, and follow the pitches by European start-ups.
Five feasibility projects also had the opportunity to pitch live on the main stage as part of the Early-Stage Innovation Session. One of the awards for the best pitch went to the GBI project Viva-Vek-2 from the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research. The project was recognized for its outstanding presentation and exceptional innovative strength: it pursues a platform approach for vaccines designed to offer lifelong protection without the need for booster shots.
