Ascenion is supporting the start-up event ‘Best of X’ as nominating partner. ‘Best of X’ is a not-for-profit initiative that brings together players from regional start-up scenes for at least one evening: entrepreneurs, universities, research institutes, network institutions, venture capitalists and business angels. The competition offers entrepreneurs with outstanding business ideas a platform for obtaining international attention and support for their projects. Each partner may nominate up to three start-ups founded no longer than five years ago and situated within 150 km of the regional centre. Start-up experts will chose 10 finalists from among the nominees, and three winners will be selected in the final by a jury of successful entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. Upcoming finals will be held on 18 May in Munich, on 11 June in the Rhineland and on 13 July in Hamburg. In Hamburg, Ascenion will be sending life-science start-ups into the competition for the first time.
