Anyone hoping to sell IP to a potential licensee asks themselves this question. This course will show you how to develop well-founded answers, ready for entering into negotiations.
You’ll first get an overview of current standards and common evaluation procedures, then learn more about one of these, the Net Present Value (NPV) method, and try it out for yourself. The lecturer will also provide plenty of useful tips and examples gathered during many years’ experience.
The training course is aimed at all those professionally involved with licensing, or who are particularly interested in the licensing process: technology transfer staff at universities, technical colleges or research institutes, company founders, IP specialists, CEOS, CTOs and COOs.
The lecturer is Dr Anja Zimmermann, who holds a PhD in molecular biology and an MBA. Dr Zimmermann has 20 years’ experience working in technology transfer at Ascenion, where she manages the investments of Ascenion’s 20 or so portfolio companies and supports the licensing of IP. A particular focus of her work is the market-oriented evaluation of ideas, patents, projects and spin-offs.
This course is being offered in cooperation with TransferAllianz, the German association for knowledge and technology transfer (previously TechnologieAllianz), and will be held in German.
