OMEICOS, a spin-off from the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) in Berlin, has attracted Dr Ulrich Dauer as Chief Executive Officer. With twenty years of professional experience and a proven track record in the life-science industry, he brings additional leadership expertise to the team. Prior to joining OMEICOS, Ulrich Dauer was Chief Strategy Officer at Activaereo GmbH where he was instrumental in structuring the sale of the company to Vectura Group plc for EUR 130 million in 2014. Before that, he was Chief Executive Officer of 4SC AG.
The appointment follows the successful closing of a Series A financing totaling EUR 6.2 million in April this year. ‘The company is now perfectly set to speed up the development of its promising approach for the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases,’ says Dr Katja Rosenkranz, Senior Project Manager at Ascenion.
