Dr Gregor Lichtfuss joined Ascenion as Project Manager at the Spinnovator at the beginning of this year. Together with his colleague Dr Katja Rosenkranz, he is looking forward to selecting projects for inclusion into the Spinnovator program and providing continuous support through the start-up founding process.
This new role brings Gregor back to Germany from Australia, where most recently he worked as a consultant for Brandon Capital Partners, a life-science focussed venture capital firm. Previously, he completed his PhD in clinical immunology at the Burnet Institute for Medical Research and Public Health in Melbourne. Throughout his academic career, he acquired diverse experience on the business side of biotech, for example through successful participation in a business plan competition, in an entrepreneurship program at Stanford Graduate School of Business, and through internships in the venture capital and life-science industries. Before moving to Australia, Gregor fulfilled the role of a project manager at the Robert Koch Institute in Berlin focussing on international counter-bioterrorism, mainly responsible for the organization of national and international training programmes and conferences.
Gregor studied biology at the Humboldt University, Berlin and subsequently obtained an MSc in International Health in an Erasmus Mundus Program jointly run by several internationally renowned universities.
