In February this year, Dr Torben Söker joined Ascenion’s team in Hanover as technology scout. Together with his colleague Dr Ralf Cordes, he will support scientists and technology transfer professionals at the Hannover Medical School (MHH).
Before he joined Ascenion, he did clinical research at the University Hospital Düsseldorf focusing on cardiovascular physiology.
Torben Söker studied biology in Oldenburg and Bielefeld and earned his PhD at the Helmholtz Zentrum München (formerly GSF) in the field of developmental genetics. He then worked in applied sciences at the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology in Aachen before moving to the clinical field.
