Since late 2024, Mario has been working in Munich for two venture capital firms, Gimv and OCCIDENT. His work focused on the scientific, economic and financial evaluation of investment opportunities in biotech, medtech and diagnostics companies, as well as conducting due diligence processes and analysing deal flow, markets and competition. In addition, he identified and evaluated academic spin-offs and innovative technologies at all stages of development.
After studying biochemistry in London, Mario obtained his PhD in structural biology at Imperial College London and held his first position at LifeArc, working on the discovery and development of antibodies.
